Staci & Jordan's Destination Wedding

When Staci approached me about her invitations, I was so stoked to get started on designing them, I sent her a digital mock-up the very same night as her consultation.

Staci and Jordan were planning a destination wedding in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.  Since their wedding was going to be on a beach, they wanted their invitations to be fairly casual.  I designed something fun and quirky - just like their personalities

Invitation front and back

I like to recommend the trifold invitation to clients that are having destination weddings.  The 6 (total) panels provide plenty of space to include ceremony and reception details, accommodation info, RSVP, etc.
Although Staci and Jordan were celebrating their nuptials in Mexico with close friends and family, they were also going to celebrate a local wedding upon their return.  Rather than sending out separate invitations for both events, they included all of the details for both celebrations, in one invite.

We went with a perforated RSVP postcard.  Guests were able to RSVP to each event on one card and just drop it in the mailbox.

Keeping with the quirky theme, their RSVP's read:
"Yes, I'm ready to party" and "Regretfully, I'm a party pooper"

Staci really liked the idea of incorporating an interactive element to her RSVP's.  Not only was it fun, but it was a nice keepsake for the bride and groom, from their loved one's:

Travelling guests received a 'Welcome' passport that included information about Playa del Carmen, common Spanish phrases, and a special 'Thank You' message

The ceremony programs were double-sided fans.  One side listed the bridal party, and the other side listed the wedding ceremony schedule

Guests were expected to party hard during the reception, so they all received these awesome door hangers for their hotel rooms

I always stress to my clients, that their wedding invitations should possess 2 specific qualities:
1) a glimpse of the type of event they're having: casual, traditional, elegant, fancy
and
2) a hint of the couples' personality

I think we hit the nail right on the head with Staci & Jordan's invitation suite, and what a breath of fresh air it was, contributing to something so fun :)
